The event dedicated to the World Rangers Day, which was held in the Borjom-Kharagauli National Park, was attended by the Director of the Aragvi Protected Landscape Administration and a Natural Resource Management Specialist. The Minister of Environment and Agriculture, Otar Shamugia, together with Acting Chairman of the Protected Areas Agency, Besik Kusid, congratulated the rangers on their professional day. Within the framework of the event dedicated to the Day of Rangers, a certificate was presented to Levan Mamniashvili, a Natural Resources Management Specialist of the Aragvi Protected Landscape Administration. Protected territories of Georgia are protected by 450 rangers distributed in 24 territorial administrations. More than 13% of the territory of Georgia is under the protection of rangers.  This year, the event dedicated to the World Day of Rangers was organized by the Agency of Protected Areas, within the framework of the "Save Nature-Georgia" project of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture and the Government of Sweden.
